    • how does the navigation of the Aiper Seagull Pro work?

especially when changing pools, should the robot be reset?

    • Hey Blangenois,

Interesting question! The Aiper Seagull Pro uses it’s own WavePath tm Navigation Technology. Without getting too much into the nitty gritty of how our technology works, I can tell you the Aiper Seagull Pro will determine the type of pool it’s in and begin its cleaning based on the mode you select – Automatic (floor + wall), floor only, or wall only. The cleaning pattern once activated resembles a N/Z shape based on your perspective.

When switching to a new pool, there’s no need to do a hard reset on your device. The Pro will navigate your new pool just fine on its own.

      • I just purchased the pro and have run it two cycles so far. I am not seeing the navigation pattern discussed. The unit seems to be running around randomly and spends more time around the bottom drain than anywhere.

Does it take some time for the unit to “learn” the pool layout?

        • I just received my pro yesterday and am having the same issue of it cleaning randomly and spending a lot of time at the main drain.  Also, it doesn’t clean the sides or the waterline of my pool.  It will clean the floor and a very small section of the wall.  My pool is oval and had a 9 ft deep end.  The sides of my pool are about 2 feet deep of stainless steel and then it concrete.  There is a small lip where the stainless steel and concrete meet.  It will only go up to the lip and clean down about a foot or so.

    • Ok thank you for the answer

    • Hello Team Aiper,

I’m an automatician, and I’d like to have more information on how “WavePath tm Navigation Technology” works, I’m not asking you to tell me the secrets of programming, but just to know :

1 – How long does it take to map the pool? (in my case after 7/8 washes of the floor only, and it still does anything).

2 – should we put it back in the water in exactly the same place? (that I make)

Infos :
9 m x 4.50 m rectangular pool
gentle slope of 1.40 to 1.70 m lengthwise
Towards the deepest side there’s a step 0 to 40 cm high around the edge with very very rounded edges and a 30° to 45° angle, and he sometimes skates on it, or even comes to a standstill.

Thank you in advance for your detailed reply.

      Bruno

    • I have the same problem. The machine goes back and forth on the same line several times. It keeps hitting the wall for more than 30 seconds until it turns to navigate on the same line again.
